Lee Taft Speed Academy's
Top Performers of the Month
Congratulations to our Top Performers of the Month Ariana Abrams and Tony Fusco. Performers are chosen for their positive attitudes, exemplary behavior, unwavering commitment and notable progress.
Ariana Abrams, 17, Glens Falls
Ariana joined us in 2007 as a promising volleyball player from Glens Falls High School. Since that time, she has been consistent with her training while playing almost year round for school and other leagues, including an upcoming national tournament. Ariana has done a great job improving her multi-directional speed, strength, and power. She has noticed an increase in her vertical jump, which will benefit her ability to spike and block on the volleyball court. Ariana is extremely dedicated to her sport but also very easy going and positive during training. She always wears a smile and leads by example. We want to wish Ariana luck in her upcoming tournaments and in all that she does. Great Job Ari!
Tony Fusco, 14, Queensbury
Tony joined us February of 2008. A football player and wrestler, Tony is extremely strong and fast for his age. You could almost understand if he took his training for granted, but he pairs his physical talents with a tremendous work ethic. Tony has been working on improving his balance, agility, and explosiveness. But the quality that separates Tony as this month’s Top Performer is his genuine personality and positive attitude. Tony is always respectful and polite, he listens well, and works hard each and every day. With his mature character, we expect Tony to make a big splash in the next couple of years at Queensbury. Keep up the great effort, Tony!
